TheCyclist-Lawyer.com doesn’t just take bike cases seriously- we taking BIKING seriously. Our workplace is committed to walking the walk, by offering bike parking, restroom and changing facilities, cycling classes, bike education classes, and more!
Today, the League of American Bicyclists recognized Hottman Law Office with a GOLD Bicycle Friendly Business (BFBSM) award, joining more than 800 visionary businesses from across the country. HLO moved from Silver-level to Gold- level in this round.
With the announcement of 150 new and renewing BFBs today in 39 states and Washington, D.C., Hottman Law Office joins a cutting-edge group of more than 800 local businesses, government agencies and Fortune 500 companies across the United States that are transforming the American workplace.
“Visionary business leaders are recognizing the real-time and long term impact that a culture of bicycling can create,” said Andy Clarke, President of the League of American Bicyclists. “We applaud this new round of businesses for investing in a more sustainable future for the country and a healthier future for their employees.”
“Hottman Law Office believes in improving lives and communities, one bike rider at a time,” owner Megan Hottman said. “This means we offer the tools to help bike riders, racers, and commuters get started on their path to bike-enlightened living! We also partner with Golden on bike education. And more recently, we’ve been invited into local law enforcement offices to provide bike-law briefings. It’s very exciting, the momentum and education and opportunities we’ve been involved in –and I know it’s only going to continue to grow!”
Hottman Law Office encourages bicycling as an easy option for transportation and provides amenities such as indoor/outdoor bike parking, a women’s commuter team, indoor cycling and bike education classes, and incentives such as payment and prizes for most miles commuted (and other awards for fun contests, like best costume while commuting on Halloween!)
Moving forward, Hottman Law Office will have access to a variety of free tools and technical assistance from the League to become even more bicycle-friendly. “When our employees bike, great things happen: they arrive to work happy, healthy, refreshed, invigorated, energetic, and ready to work hard on our clients’ cases. They save wear and tear on their vehicles, decrease congestion and fumes in the air, and most importantly, they represent to others in their communities that bikes are a great way to get to and from work, year-round,” Megan said.
